Lamar Bests Depleted UNO

Bryson Robinson had
21 for the Privateers
Dressing only nine players with Gerrale Gates out in addition to Damion Rosser, the Privateers (4-9, 0-3) remain winless in the Southland, falling to Lamar 74-67 at Lakefront Arena on Thursday.

UNO trailed by as many as 13 in the first half but cut Lamar's lead to seven at the break and two early in the second half.  But Lamar's strength inside enabled them to fend off several Privateer rally attempts, and Anderson Kopp's devastating three from the left corner put Lamar up 71-65 late and stuck a dagger in the Bucs.

Bryson Robinson gave a tremendous effort to keep New Orleans in the game, scoring 21 points and draining 4-of-8 from downtown.  A hobbled Troy Green added 16.
