Privateers Lose Close One at Cajundome

Nate Frye: 16 points, 7 assists
The Privateers (3-7) finally returned to the Cajundome in Lafayette to face former Sun Belt rival ULL, falling 79-69. The game was back-and-forth most of the way, and New Orleans held a 67-64 lead with just under six minutes left. However, the UNO offense dried up at that point, going the final 6:47 of the game without a field goal.

Christavious Gill led UNO with 17 points, with Nate Frye adding 16 and Erik Thomas 15. Frye also dished 7 assists. Cajuns standout Shawn Long did not play the first half but had 13 points and 8 boards in the second to boost ULL.

The Privateers have one final non-conference tuneup against sub-D1 opponent Blue Mountain College on December 29 at Lakefront Arena before beginning Southland Conference play the following week.
