Another Close-Call Loss to Bearkats

Nate Frye: 14 points, 5 assists

The Privateers (5-8, 1-1) led 68-66 late but faltered down the stretch, losing a close road game at Sam Houston, 73-70.  Christavious Gill drained what would have been a game-tying three with time running out, but New Orleans called a timeout just before he released the ball.

Nate Frye led the UNO scoring with 14 points. Tevin Broyles had 13, and Gill had 10. The teams combined for 72 free throws in a foul-filled game.

New Orleans opens Southland play at home on Monday night at Lakefront Arena against Incarnate Word.
