Nicholls Fights off UNO

Robinson's jumper gives
UNO a 62-60 lead late
Despite a tremendous second half effort, the Privateers (6-14, 2-8) fell short on Alumni Night at Lakefront Arena, dropping a 77-72 contest to Nicholls.

With some of the old greats of the program looking on, New Orleans rallied from a 10-point halftime deficit, throwing their bodies around and rallying into the lead.  Troy Green's three-pointer actually put the host team up 5, but Nicholls' strength inside won the day down the stretch.

The Troy Green-Bryson Robinson guard tandem kept UNO competitive, with Green scoring 21 and Robinson 16.  Jahmel Myers added 11 but fouled out.  The Bucs got to the line significantly more often than the Colonels but made just 14 out of 27 free throws.

The Privateers stay home and will host Northwestern State on Wednesday night.
