Omar Henry notched a career-high 20 points to go along with 8 rebounds, as New Orleans broke open a close game early, led 37-29 at the half, and broke free down the stretch, dominating the visiting Cardinals for their first conference win of the season.
UNO (4-8, 1-1) also got a double-double from Tyson Jackson, who posted 11 points and 10 rebounds. Turk Vincent had his own career high of 16 points to aid in the victorious effort.
The Privateer defense held Lamar to an anemic 34% from the floor.
UNO will next get a rematch with Houston Christian on Saturday at Lakefront Arena.
