The Privateers (5-8, 2-3) broke open a close game at halftime, pouring it on the Lamar Cardinals down the stretch in a 77-55 victory at Lakefront Arena. It was UNO's most lopsided win over a Division I opponent since it beat North Texas almost six years to the day (January 17, 2008) by 22.
Kevin Hill stepped up big with a 17-point, 12-rebound effort to lead New Orleans. Traddarius McPhearson added 16, Cory Dixon 12, and freshman James Harrison 11.
