The Privateers (9-19, 5-12) fell in yet another close contest on Thursday night at Lakefront Arena, dropping a 61-60 decision to Southeastern Louisiana.

Christavious Gill's driving layup put New Orleans ahead 60-59, but SLU's Marlain Veal nailed two free throws with 14.6 seconds left to secure the Lion victory.  Travin Thibodaux's attempted putback of a Gill miss failed at the buzzer. Erik Thomas led UNO with 18 points.

UNO will conclude the regular season Saturday night against Northwestern State at home.
