Privateers Clamp Down, Rally at UIW

In a role reversal, it was the Privateers (10-9, 4-3) rallying from a double-digit second half deficit, ultimately overtaking Incarnate Word, 61-52, in San Antonio on Saturday afternoon.

New Orleans, which trailed most of the first half and faced a 40-28 deficit early in the second, imposed their will for the rest of the day, allowing just 12 points over the final 15 minutes to give themselves a chance to salvage the third game of this three-game road trip.

Bryson Robinson, who tied a school record on Wednesday at Central Arkansas with nine three-pointers, connected on another five against UIW, leading the way with 19 points.  Damion Rosser added 11 and Zeke Charles 10 for the winners.

UNO returns to friendly ground on Wednesday evening with a home game against Northwestern State at Lakefront Arena.
