The Privateers (11-14, 8-9) fell behind big early and trailed by as many as 27 points in the second half, eventually falling to Lamar in Beaumont by a 89-72 score. New Orleans rallied in the second half and got as close as 12 but dug too deep a hole against the Cardinals, who entered the contest with just three wins on the season.
Freshman James Harrison had a career high 17 for UNO. Sophomore Kevin Hill recorded his fourth consecutive double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.
